YAY! I have a new (updated) look on my blog and buttons! I just love the new design and layout, thanks to Crayonbox Designs. This is my new button :)
The new look has certainly motivated me to add more posts and has rejuvenated my 'creative flair'. Which brings me to my next point...

MacBook Air!
I got a new laptop! Some of you may have read on my September Currently that I was wanting to get a new, lighter, faster and updated Mac. So after thinking about it a little bit more, I decided that my outdated 2009 Macbook Pro needed an upgrade. Hmmm, I'm noticing a theme here…. Out with the old and in with the new! ;)
Non-Fiction Australian Animals Writing
My little ones have been doing some fabulous non-fiction writing. This week, whilst learning about the Comprehension Strategy Questioning, I read the children a book about Australian Animals. Before reading we asked lots of questions (most of the children hadn't even herd of some of the animals like echidnas and platypus'). Once we read the book, the children summarised some of the new information they learnt. I was very impressed in their writing, but also with the amount of information they retained!
One week of term left!
Now that Week 9 is over, we now only have 1 week of term left! Then 2 weeks school holidays! I have quite a bit going on during the break - my cousin is getting married and it is the footy grand final so no doubt there will be lots of catching up with friends and celebrations to be had.
